OS windows 7 pro 64 bit
mobo ASUS Z270-AR
cpu i7 7700k
GPU GTX 1050ti
1TB SSD SAMSUNG EVO
HEADSETS Astro a50

Just a little back story. . I recently reformatted upgraded from an AMD FX-8320 + ASROCK 990fx Extreme 3 and during that time my headset worked. All i had to do was plug in USB and it would automatically download drivers.

I had to reformat my OS since i purchased a new CPU and MOBO. BUT NOW MY PC DOES NOT RECOGNIZE MY HEADSET! i tried downloading the drivers from astro's website. . but no luck. . the manufacturers driver installation software does not recognize the headset. ( the software indicates that there is no device connected when trying to install driver)

Not sure if its related but i should add that when i try to install drivers directly from ASUS i get the following error : "does not support his operating system: WNT_6.1P_64MCE"

It seems my motherboard only has 3.0 USB slots and I currently have a few USB drivers installed already:

Intel USB 3.0 root hub
Intel USB 3.0 extensible host controller
ASmedia USB 3.1 extensible host controller
