Moved HDD while PC is powered on, now the HDD can't be detected (probably dead).

Hi, my HDD died a few days ago for unknown reason, and I have been trying to identify the problem. Today I sat down and thought about it, and it stuck me that I might have moved my PC while it's powered on when I tried to change my PSU, and that might have caused the disk failure. The HDD is a WD Black 2TB 7200rpm 64MB, bought it for a little less than 2 years ago.

When the HDD died that time I tried to power on PC, I heard it clicking, and the system wouldn't boot (although my OS is not in that HDD, but in a SSD), and the BIOS is showing "BIOS is updating... Do not shut down or reset the system to prevent system bootup failure", and the system restarts itself a few times, 4 maybe 5 times, and after that it booted into OS saying that the HDD was not found. First I thought it might have been a power issue, since I swapped a lower wattage PSU, so I swapped back my old PSU and tried to power it on a few times, still same problem: BIOS update cycles a few times, boots into Windows and says that HDD not found. I looked up in Device Manager, Disk Partition, and also tried a few other software including Seagate's, but it's not detected. However, when I enter BIOS after the updating cycles, I was able to see the HDD listed in the boot menu, however it shows up as 0MB. A few more boot tries I was able to see the drive showed up in Device Manager without any error icons, also in Disk Partition, but in Disk Partition, it showed as unallocated and said that I need to format the drive in order to start using it. Given that I still had files in there I didn't want to do the formation. So I tried a few more reboots with some different BIOS settings hoping that the system would recognize it, but no hope. Now the HDD doesn't show up at all, not in BIOS, not in OS, and not in software; although I can still hear it spins up and click a few times when I try to boot with it, but then it's the same BIOS update cycles and HDD not found.

I have ordered one that's exactly the same as this HDD, thinking that it was a PCB problem and want to try swap the board to see if it helps. But since it still spins and clicks, I'm not too certain if that's the problem. So here I'm, wondering what I should try before swapping the PCB, any suggestions are much appreciated!!!

Aha, no. I meant to change PSU eventually, didn't mean to write changing the PSU while the PC was on. Moving the PC was just rearranging their location for space and other component parts on the desk. Sorry if it was written unclearly.
