Hi,
i recently built a custom watercooling loop for my i7 6700k using a 360 black ice nemisis rad, ekwb supremacy evo cpu block and ek d5 pump n res combo. Ascetically im really pleased but my idle temps seem pretty high to me, especially considering i have seen mini itx builds with the same cpu as mine and a graphics card with only a 240mm rad, so surely if that gets good temps then my temps should be great. but 38 degrees C idle doesnt seem all that and although i havent run a proper stress test yet temps have hit 80 when installing, im really not sure what it could be.
before you ask no i havent got any visible bubbles and have ran the loop on for a couple of days now to try and get rid of all the air from the loop. i have heard that sometimes the cpu block may not be sitting correctly but i would have to dismantle my loop (hard tubing) to do this and i would rather not unless there is a good chance that is the problem. Has anyone got any ideas to improve temps?
Thanks i really appreciate the help
