Hello guys. I am running a 4770k on an asus b85m-g non overclocked. I just upgraded my computer case, and when i put everything back together and started the pc, I got the "CPU over voltage error". I checked in the BIOS and in the first screen the CPU voltage was showing as normal. But when i checked in the advanced section of the BIOS, under the Monitor tab i see that my CPU input voltage is around 3.5V. I also checked through CPUID(CPU-z) and also in HWInfo. I dont see anything wrong in these programs. Also the CPU temperatures are very good ~30C. I am not sure if this is an actual problem or a problematic report from BIOS side. I tried to reset it to default, and reset the CMOS with the jumper as well. I even tried to set the VCCIN manually to 1.8 but still the same issue. Any ideas?

There is no way that CPU is running at 3.5V, that would instantly fry the chip. Update the BIOS. It's not reporting the real voltage.

I updated the BIOS to the latest version downloaded from their website. Still the same problem.

HW Info has sensors. Please screenshot that. Everything looks normal, just as you've stated in the others.

The board wouldn't last long at 3.5v input voltage, and neither would the CPU. It's gotta be an error in the bios. Have you contacted ASUS customer service?

This is what i can see when i run it with sensors only. I see the Voltage of VCCIN under the motherboard to be around 3.5v.

The screenshot isn't showing up now for some reason. I would RMA that board.

I uploaded it here as well.

I am afraid that RMA is not an option since it was bought 2-3 years ago. The funny part is that the pc has been working fine for the last 24 hours or so, with very good temperatures.

Eesh....that's crazy. I've never seen a board read that high. There's something bad wrong there.
