RAM USABLE MEMORY. 4gb BUT 2gb USABLE ONLY.

Hello again guys.

My ram is 4gb ddr4 2400mhz but when i look at my properties it is only 2.16 usable. So i read some solutuon here but no use. I tried the boot then advance options solution and it is just the same. So i assume that my ram is faulty so i run memtest but i got 0 errors after pass4/4. So what is the problem in my ram?

The rest is used by system processes. Most is probably your GPU, then network, etc.

There is no problem, the rest is just system reserved.

Your GPU is internal. So it uses your system RAM. Discrete GPUs have their own RAM. In the BIOS, you can set it to another value, but you're best to give it the most RAM possible.

If you had no GPU at all, you wouldn't have a screen.

If you're running windows, you can open "resource monitor", it should show the Hardware Reserved RAM. In my case, it's 55MB, because I offload everything except some virtualization paging.

Your system should show 1.75GB use or such. If not, report back.
