BIOS does not Detect SSD

Hi everyone,

I know there are a lot of this question on this forum, and I have combed through the the lists that popped up when I searched Google and on here.

My problem is that my new motherboard is not detecting the SSD (where I stored my Windows) when it did before. After I installed the driver for the new motherboard and reboot, it was fine. When I turned off the comp to tighten the lid onto my case, the comp then gave me this issue when I tried to turn it back on. I can reach the BIOS, but when I get there, it does not show my SSD as an option. I have tried switching between the HDD and the disc option, tried to reinstall Windows but that didn't work since it can't use the HDD, and took out the battery of the motherboard. FYI, I was not able to find the actual reset option of the BIOS when I was on the BIOS page. The closest thing I saw was "Load optimized defaults" which I have tried, and did not change anything. I also tried plugging the SSD into different SATA slots and switching the SATA cables between the HDD and the SSD.

The thing was, I was able to install my graphic drivers and motherboard drivers just fine. It means that it was able to detect the SSD before.

Motherboard:
Gigabyte b250m-ds3h

SSD:
Sandisk z410 240GB

I am in need of suggestions at the moment.

My last option would be to get a new SSD or ask CyberPower PC (where I originally got my PC which included this SSD) for a replacement.

Any advice is appreciated.

Side note: I was reading on an old thread about this problem - the OP of that said that he was able to fix it after trying download Parted Magic, though OP said that was not what fixed it and it resolved on its own. He was also able to check if his SSD was installed properly... which I cannot figure out how to do... apologies for noobness

1. Let's try to obtain a clear understanding of the problem you're experiencing and the steps that let up to it, OK?

2. You apparently installed the Windows OS on the SSD so that this disk would serve as your boot drive. (What OS - Win 7, 8.1, 10, what?).

3 Presumaby the SSD booted to the OS and functioned without problems until you ran into the problem you more-or-less describe. Is that right?

4. Now, for some reason, you "tighten(ed) the lid onto my case". What's that all about?

5. And after you "tightened" the lid the system would no longer boot. What PRECISELY happened? What error msg did you receive? A blank screen? You could only boot to the BIOS? What?

6. Now you start mentioning about a HDD. How does that enter the picture? Was that the original boot drive that you cloned to the SSD? What's the relevance between the SSD & the HDD.

7. Have you tested the health of the SSD with SanDisk's Dashboard https://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/15576 to determine you're not dealing with a defective drive?

Oh wow, you are a genius. Why didn't I think of this! It works now, thank you.
