Is the MSI GTX 1080 TI compatible with the MSI Z87-G45 GAMING Motherboard?

I'm getting ready to upgrade to a new GPU. I can go for the big dog the 1080 TI but I had this Motherboard MSI Z87-G45 GAMING for a while now.

I know motherboards from a few years ago are still amazing now, but just that thought of this being a motherboard I've had for a few years now make me wonder if it can handle these insane GPU's coming out.

So is my Motherboard compatible for a 1080 TI?

Only if the OP is running a low end dual/quad core would that be a potential issue. Generally speaking the OPs platform is more then capable to use a GTX 1080Ti....Again unless running a dual core or a low end quad, in the case of the latter the bottleneck would be pretty small.

I have a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz, 3500 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) How is that?
