I've read a lot and done a lot, but nothing works. I've tried following this: https://www.driverdr.com/windows10/wifi-or-ethernet-does-not-have-a-valid-ip-configuration/

Some issue I've seen:
Doing the ip reset, it says "resetting , ok" a few more times then it shows in the example.

The release/renew won't get rid of the 169 IP address.

Doing static just shows that the gateway is unavailable.

Pinging 127.0.0.1 fails.

Uninstall drivers, restart doesn't work.

Disabling firewall did nothing.

Internet doesn't work for wireless or Ethernet.

It was working fine, went to work, and came back to this mess. No one touched the computer during that time. Very frustrating! Thanks in advance.

Hey, thanks for the response. I wouldn't be able to download from website because of the no internet problem. After trying a few solutions to no advail. I just reset the whole computer and reinstalled windows. Haven't seen the problem since.

All other devices working correctly?

Any chance that some update was performed on your computer?

Did you try running the Windows 10 built-in troubleshooters?

"WIN" + "I" > Network & Internet

and

"WIN + "I" > Update & security > Troubleshoot

You may need to download the drivers again - download via the adapter's manufacturer's website.

Your system may be reinstalling a corrupted driver.

Run and post the results of "ipconfig /all" (without quotes) via the command prompt.
