The new power supply is an EVGA 750 GQ and my motherboard is an ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 (assuming it hasn't melted down). The mobo has a connection that the manual calls "ATX 12V Power Connector" and it's currently connected to the hard-wired power cable in the old PSU. The EGVA only has the 20+4 connector on the hard-wired cable. It does, however, have modular CPU cables that have 4+4 connectors that seem to match the 12V connector on the mobo. Is that the correct cable? I really don't want to just plug it in and hope for the best - for 2 reasons, it's going to be a bitch to get it in since I've got a giant cooler master heat sync on the cpu and I don't want to dismantle it, 2nd reason - the last time i messed with a psu, i blew it up. So i'm a little gun shy.

Next up - my video card is a EVGA GTX 970 and requires two connections to the PSU. There are separate VGA cables but 4 VGA Connection slots on the PSU. Do I use VGA 1 and VGA 2?
