Hi guys,
I recently checked my temps and realized that my CPU temp is way too high. Idle around 40c and reaches 100c when in load. I'm not sure what the problem is. I suspect that my pump broken down but I still see ~4500rpm as I connected my pump to CPU fan header. The fan attached to the rad is still spinning at ~1200rpm. However, when I touched the rad when CPU temp is 100c, it was not even warm/hot at all. And the air blown out from the fan attached to the rad was not warm neither. After I exit game, around 20 seconds later, CPU drops from 100 to 40 (normal temp at idle). I'm sure that I installed CPU cooler properly as it is sitting pretty tight right now.
I can't change much for fan control in BIOS, only modes (Standard, Turbo,...)..already switched to Turbo
I don't know where to find Fan Xpert 2 for fan controller
I used HWMonitor, and realtemp for CPU temp and they displayed the same
I'm using Corsair H60 cooler
Here are my specs if they help:
- Asus Z87 Plus motherboard
- Intel Core i7-4790k CPU
- EVGA GTX 980 Ti hybrid GPU
- Corsair HX750i PSU
- Corsair 760T case
Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks so much
