I have some issues with my Corsair Vengeance frequency, and am looking for assistance. It is a common problem, but I have not seen a proper explanation for how to solve it as of yet, so maybe this thread can give it.
I have these components:
RAM: corsair vengeance lpx 16gb 2x8gb ddr4 3000mhz
Motherboard: asus prime b350-plus am4
In Speccy, the DRAM frequency shows 1064.1 MHz.
In my BIOS the Memory frequency shows 2133 MHz (discrepancy: twice as much?)
In BIOS the memory frequency is set at AUTO, and all settings are at default. When I tried to increase to the option just under 3000 MHz (2966 MHz? Can't remember exactly), I could not boot.
The BIOS version is 0806.
So my question is:
Can someone give a detailed instruction on how I can increase the memory speed (or should I keep it as it is)?
