Hello all,

Please help me i need to install e5450 on LGA 775 gigabyte g41-m combo mother board what steps i need to take care....

You need to update your BIOS with one incorporating Xeon microcodes. Then you'll either need a chip that's modded with extra notches or to cut away the interfering plastic parts of your socket. The chip will also need welded pads or a mod sticker. And the LGA771 chip is installed 90 degrees rotated from the usual LGA775 orientation, so be sure to carefully look at pictures before installing.

Given the very low cost of premodded LGA771 chips today it doesn't make sense to mod the socket or try to get stickers to work.
