Radeon HD 7850 1GB VS. NVIDIA GTX 1050 2GB

Solution

The performance of both cards is very similar with the GeForce GTX 1050 2GB having a slight edge.

You didn't list the price (i.e. country and currency) for each card nor the condition of each card (i.e. used or new).

If I base it on new cards, where I live, then definitely the GeForce GTX 1050 2GB since its around $100 less than a Radeon HD 7850 1GB.

You may even need to factor in a power supply upgrade if you choose the Radeon HD 7850 1GB.

The 7850 is about as fast as a GTX 750 Ti and is an old power hungry card. If you could get one for free or say less than $50, it might be an okay choice, provided you don't want to play anything but 5 year old or older games.

The RX 560 is another option to buy new and after rebate is a bit cheaper than the GTX 1050 and about as fast.
