different memory speeds

Hi
I have what maybe a dead ram stick from a 2x4 ddr4 set, so i am looking at getting another ram stick, if they are the same size stick but different speeds will that still work but run at the lower speed? or will it not work

Maybe, maybe not. Running 2 different ram sticks, even from same brand, may not work or may not work stable. If it will work, then yes they will both run at the slower speed.

you bought them as dual so rma the ram should be under warranty and if you want to had some in system you need to get similar kit of this dual ram and made shure they have same power level need and cas ,
