Hello every one I have an a4 6300 CPU with a GTX 1050 and 8gb of ddr3 ram. I want to upgrade my cpu but it only supports fm2+ and I heard that it is pretty old so should I upgrade my cpu or my entire motherboard and ram. If It turns out that I need to upgrade my motherboard I plan on using my old case, power supply and gpu. Any help is appreciated thank you

Solution
The old Am2/3/3+/FM/FM2 boards are all obselete, and, none of them are worth sinking another $100 cpu upgrade into, IMO...

The current bang for your buck/budget rig is an R3-1200 ($110)/B350 mainboard ($95) plus enough DDR4 RAM...

The good mid raange target is an R5-1600...

Top choice is still Z270/7700K....

(However, a GTX1050 will be maxed out by even the R3-1200 once it is OC'd, so frame rates will not iprove with faster processors much)

is this motherboard the right one http://www.frys.com/product/9112768?source=google&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIiraU0d6b1gIVj4xpCh1cFQ5_EAQYASABEgKXYfD_BwE

will this ram work with the new motherboard? http://www.frys.com/product/9123708?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

I'm sure MSI's B350 based board is ok, but, as for RAM, I've sure never heard of 'Pacific Rim'...

When it comes to choosing RAM for Ryzen,I'd look to a brand you've heard of (Corsair, Gskill, Micron, etc..), preferably one of at least 3200 MHz and on the mainboard's list of known good 'tested/certified with'/compatibility list...; as it's 2017, a 16 GB kit (2 x 8 GB sticks) should last a few years, you can add another 2 sticks later if needed

Hi sorry my question was not clear I was asking when I put in the b350 board in my PC will everything work as normal? All my stuff should load up since it's on the hard drive right? I got my PC from Cybertron and their is a Windows product key that's on the side of the case. Also do you have any tips before doing this? Thank you for all your help man :)
