Hey Guys,

I have been searching the internet for an answer for my question but nobody seems to have asked it yet.

I am custom sleeving my PSU Cables, and my GPU cable has Dual 6+2 pin connectors. My GPU however only takes one of these 6+2 connectors so I have left the second 6+2 connector just kinda dangling there. Which has been fine in the past. But now that I am custom sleeving, I'd like to know if i can remove this to make my life easier.

My plan would be to just take some wire cutters right up to the pin, and snip it off the wires going to the other 6+2 connector, and viola all my issues would be solved. I would not need this cable in the future if I get a GPU that needs both connectors as I have another spare cable, and I just built this PC. So I don't plan on upgrading at any point. If I did, I'd buy new cable mod cables anyways.

That sound OK to me, just make sure that after you cut the cables, you insulate the cut ends so that there's no risk of contact anywhere.
