This may or may not be the right area of the forum for this so sorry in advance! Basically I have a ryzen 1700 not overclocked. HWINFO and msi command center both show my CPU temp around 35c idle, and 60-68c under load with prime95 test. (Not sure about the whole core temp reading as I don't see anything like that). However, in HWINFO there is a system temp and a motherboard temp. I'm confused on which is what? The motherboard temp will read about 32-33c and never change, and the system temp will always be near CPU temp. Now in MSI Command center it only shows CPU temp and system temp. Which system temp in msi command matches that of HWINFO's motherboard temp of 32-33c consistently. So not sure what the other temp reading is directing towards. Thanks in advance.

um the MOBO temp is important aalong with the cpu temp associated with it. Those are the temps generated by the FPU. They are not directly presenting any relevant info towards the over CPU core temp. the Core Max is the hottest temperature among all cores and it's the preferred one.
Additionally for some CPUs you can see a "CPU Package" value (under a different CPU sensor), which is also the hottest temperature reported by all sensors in CPU and it's the 256 ms average. This could be another preferred option.

So in regards to hwinfo, Im not sure how the set up looks but on hwmonitor under the category the CPU, it has a singular temp reading and this should be the one to be referenced in regards to truest CPU temp.

here is a screen of my setup during the end of a stress test for a visual comparison HWMONITOR TEMPS
