My goal of the build is to : Easy 4k Video Editing, Good For Streaming and Recording, Low-Mid Gaming. Would like feedback on my build and if I should change any parts into better one. parts.https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Jungkookies/saved/#view=T9qkTW

I can't decide which motherboard would be best. Please help: Asus - PRIME B350-PLUS, ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F, or ASUS Prime X370-Pro. I can always spend $100-200 more or less on the build.

And would 2x8GB Ram be enough for up to 4k video editing? I was thinking of getting a 2x16GB but would that be overkill? My last question is does getting a 1x8, 2x8, 2x16, 4x8 matter when it comes to performance?

First, I would change a couple of things in the list...

The stock cooler is pretty good and capable of overclocking upto a modest 3.6-3.7ghz. For pushing extreme clocks a AIO is recommended.
The board is pretty good and has a lot of power phases and robust VRM for overclocking. It also has better audio, xmp and shielded memory slots. Asus does not have any b350 with that many features. You wont need a x370 board unless you want to SLI/CrossFire and additional connectives.
The Ryzen chipset is dual channel and running dual channel is optimal on a dual channel board.

@Hellfire13 I like having RBG, does my RAM choice matter though? And I would think a 750W+ would be a better choice for OC on ryzen 1700

RAM choice doesnt matter, you can retain the RGB ram if you want. As for the PSU, your power draw is somewhere around the 350w region, if you check the top right corner of the pcpp page. You still have around 300w to play with, which is more than enough for OC.

Ah I see, its my first time building a custom PC so I'm fairly new to these spec terms. Do you think 2x8 is more than enough RAM for up to 4k video editing and rendering? I'm still considering 2x16 if it isn't.

I'm planning to use Sony Vegas as my editing program, and maybe have photoshop and some other smaller programs in the background. I have a Canon 80D that does 1080p 60FPS, but I was considering 2x16 32GB just because in the future soon almost everything will be shot in 4k.

Saved you some money where I could, to make the cost of the 32gbs of ram more agreeable.
The mobo will match your case more, and so will the white leds of the ram.
I wouldn't use the G.Skill RGBs, they're extremely prone to failure.

I've seen youtube videos where the B350 is fairly the same with OC comparing it to the X370. Why is this your pick of mobo? And wouldn't a samsung evo 960 be way better? I don't know much about crucial products. Lastly, 750W really necessary when my build says I'd only need around 340watts? With OC, 600W would be fine...?

Also I'm trying to get a more white ish build with great colors. Corsair - Vengeance LED 32GB sounds good to me. Why did u add a G.Skill - Flare X Series 16GB in the build?

Was a bit late getting my reply in.

The x370 matches your case better mainly, and would provide more sata ports which you may want to make use of to store 4k videos on more HDDs. (The b350s only have 4 sata ports, and the m.2 will take one of them out.)
the 960 evo is "faster" but when the difference in the real world is 1 second or 2 seconds (2x faster) it doesn't really matter, does it?
Yeah, you can go with less watts, that wasa good deal on 750ws of platinum power, and I thought you may be going the crossfire route with your GPU. (though i wouldn't recommend it). 600Ws is more than enough for any single GPU system.

Also saw I accidentally left another set of ram in that build, and if we're going with less power, i'd get a different PSU.
And I might as well change the other things I think would look better and be more cost effective and the GPU I'd like to see in there.

Ahh...I see. In my mind I always thought oh any samsung card would be better. The evo 960 was promising to me and I never digged around any other brands.

This white build looks good. A diff mobo and video card I'm not familar with yet though. The Radeon RX 480 has 2gb more..

For non gaming work, specially for video editing and content creation, a NVME speed should help in terms of performance... http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Samsung-960-Evo-NVMe-PCIe-M2-500GB-vs-Crucial-MX300-525GB/m204072vs3643

The board does not have as many features as the Gaming Pro Carbon but its still a very popular board with Ryzen builders, but then you can either go for looks or color.
The 1060 is equal to the 480/580. They trade blows game to game... http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1060-6GB-vs-AMD-RX-580/3639vs3923

Well I am interested in low-mid level gaming. Like league, overwatch, revelation online (not sure if I wanna get into it). I wanna game in a smooth amount of FPS. Plus streaming and recording with OBS in the future

Looks like its better for gaming, but I think the extra 2gb would help me better with productivity and video editing and rendering..

Thats ok, but the problem is, RX480/580 or any RX card above 460 is difficult to find these days due to extreme shortage. It has disappeared from most of the e-retailers and you would be lucky if you can find it at the right price, that too in white. If you do manage to get it, then you can replace it for the 1060.

No wonder the pcpicker didn't pick up any location that sells it...Damn. So 1060 u linked would best fit my needs of my build?

Yup, unless you wanna go for a more powerful card. For a more powerful card, get the 1080. Do not get the 1070 as it is bad value atm due to the same shortage.
