Hello,

My notebook core i5, gtx 660m, 8gb de ram has been shutting down after a few minuts of gaming, I was reading and the probable causes could be:
Overheating -> I checked with real tempo software and my temperature never raised above 65 Cº I know it is high temperature but it is a laptop and this temperature is normal for a it.
memory -> if it was memory the pc would give a warning, right ? blue screen, any OS message, right ?
power supply-> this is what I think it is the problem but how can I be sure ?

Also after it shuts down when I power it up again it usually beeps one time there was a time that it beeped more...

likely a thermal protection feature....

Make sure intake is not blocked off with pillow/blanket when playing....

Perhaps the thermal compound is old/solidified, and needs a reapplication to restore heat transfer to heat pipe/cooling sink.....however, that's a 2-3 hour disassembly. Good luck
