i have an HP laptop
Intel Core i5 and Intel HD Graphics 5500.
i also have a AMD Readon Graphic card. (i know how to open and replace graphic card on laptops) but im not sure will it work bcz i have never opened this laptop.its the first time im using Intel Graphics. I just wanna know can i replace it with AMD by opening my laptop and putting the AMD Card.

Even if it has an mxm slot there are a lot of problems:

1. Heatsink doesn't fit on gpu
2. gpu is too big
3. gpu is too small
4. gpu consumes too much power
5. gpu produces to much heat
6. bios doesn't see the gpu
7. bios can't handle the gpu correctly
8. ....

It's never worth it to upgrade a laptop gpu really.

so should i buy external graphic card. cant really afford a new laptop right now..
 


Why take it out of the vaio laptop and not just use the vaio or is it broken?

Also can we get some full specs and does your new laptop have thunderbolt 3 or usb c?

Sony is broken. My Laptop Is HP Pavilion 17
Processor: Intel Core i5-5200U @ 2.20 GHZ,2201 Mhz, 2 cores and 4 logical processors with 8GB RAM and 10GB Virtual Memory.
Graphic Card: Intel HD 5500
