Does Samsung RAPID mode reserve memory or just utilize it?

When enabling Samsung RAPID mode on my PC, will the SSD reserve some of the RAM, meaning I only have 12 GB RAM left to be used as system memory - or does it only utilize the specified amount of memory, meaning I still have a total of 16 GB of RAM usable, but just higher RAM usage when reading large files?

The reason why I'm asking is because I'm hosting a non-dedicated server in a game with my friend with long tethering distance, and my total RAM usage peaks at 13-14 GB for short periods of time, and I don't know if I should disable RAPID mode or if I'm still good to go.

RAPID mode sucks off the specified amount, all the time.

Also...it really does little for day to day operations.
I tried it with a 16GB RAM system. The Samsung Magician showed huge numbers, but no real user facing benefit.
I noticed no actual benefit.
