Be quiet! Pure rock slim not fitting

Just bought the aforementioned model, and when trying to install it, I found it doesn't adjust properly to the sockets. The problem, to be more precise, is that the push pins cant go deep enough to be locked due to the arms of the cooler where they are placed seem to be not close enough to the motherboard. The factory cooler fits perfectly, therefore is not a cpu issue. Please excuse my English.

Are you sure you're using the Intel mounting bracket?

Looks like the black plastic 'clip' should be flush with the metal?

I put some more pressure and this seemed to work. It makes me feel a bit uneasy, as i had to push way harder than with the factory cooler, but now seems steady. Thanks for your help
