Need Help Ugrading From My GTX 970

I need advice on upgrading my gpu. I currently use a GTX 970 on a 1080p monitor but will be upgrading to a 1440p monitor in the next couple of weeks. I'm thinking of buying a GTX 1070 but need to know if I can just drop it in my current system or if their is anything else I should upgrade.

My current system :
i5 4690
8 GB ram
GTX 970
600W psu

I'm really only wanting to upgrade my gpu right now so if I can that would be great. Also would a GTX 1080 bottleneck my system or should I just stick with the GTX 1070.

You will get a little bottlenecking from your CPU with a GTX 1080 but not enough that you won't be seeing an improvement. You can use both a GTX 1070 and 1080.
Only concern is the exact model of your PSU but shouldn't be a problem.
