So I made a post on here a few weeks ago about a DV6 acting up. Determined it was the motherboard. Ordered another one from ebay. They have this listed as New.
When it arrived it already had some thermal paste on part of it...wtf? (Pics Below) Is that normal? I've never bought a brand new MB but it doesn't seem right to me.
You can clearly tell someone cleaned the thermal paste off IMO as it's not on the top part but it's under the yellow tape, smudged.
Did this company try pulling a fast one?
The issue is I can't even install Windows 7 without it shutting off. No blue screen, just shuts off. I'm getting ready to try another cpu and see i maybe it's the cpu i have but the fact that there's thermal paste tells me I'm wasting my time since they tried passing this off as new.
Is there something I am forgetting that needs to be done with a "new" motherboard?
