I need to to know what upgrades I need to get for my fps to be higher while running OBS. I am not sure if it is the CPU or my graphics card, maybe RAM, so please tell me which component to upgrade. Thanks in advance.

Specs: i3 2100
AMD Radeon 5770
12GB of RAM

Not sure but I will assume that OBS is Open Broadcast Software, a free software for recording gaming and other streams. If it is, the first place I would start would be the CPU. When you stream you add another set of threads to the operating environment placing a heavier burden on the CPU. The i3-2100 is only a 4-thread CPU and this is about the minimum for modern gaming. I generally recommend a 12+ thread CPU for streaming.

You have not stated what mobo you have so I can only make a general recommendation. The i3-2100 is a socket 1155 CPU so I don't know if your mobo will take 3rd gen (Ivy Bridge) CPU's or just 2nd gen (Sandy Bridge) CPU's. I would be looking for a used i7 or maybe even the right Xeon but we need to know what...
