i5-6600k or Ryzen 5 1600??

Sadly Intel has pretty much abandoned that CPU socket. Unless you will get the i7-6700, I'd say try to return the motherboard, and the cooler too if it isn't compatible with AM4. The Ryzen 5 1600 is better for less, and you can upgrade later if you need.
