hey everyone this is my first gaming build please let me know of any recommended changes. my budget Is 1500.
Intel core I5-7600k kaby lake

AsRock x299 Taichi LGA 2066 intel x299 sata 6 gb/s usb 3.1 ATX intel motherboard it also incudes HP s700 2.5" 120gb sata III 3D nand internal ssd

cooler master hyper 212 evo-cpu cooler

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW gaming ACX 3.0 08 g-p4-6276-kr 8gb GDDR5, RGB LED, 10cm fan, 10 power phase, double bios, DX12 OSD support graphic card

g skill RIPJAWS v series 8 gb ( 2 x 4gb ) 288- pin SDRAM intel Z170 platform intel x99 Platform Desktop memory

artic silver thermal compound

NZXT S340 Matte Black/ blue steel ATX mid tower case
I know I'm missing a power supply, windows, and a hard drive. my build is currently at 1300.

I'm assuming you plan on overclocking with an unlocked chip so I would go with a nice z270 motherboard

Also instead of 8gb of ram I recommend 16gb

The 7600k doesn't come with a cooler so u will need to buy one

Q1: What kind of games are you going to play? 1080p or 1440p, if latter, you understand ~$300 144Hz monitor should be included as well.
Q2: Are you sticking to Intel? AMD new Ryzen series is more cost-effective with similar functionality
Q3: What is your timeline? Coffee lake is on the way and their appearance may bring down 7th generation CPU price even further.

I strongly disagree 16gb is the new standard for ram especialy in a higher end system such as this one i recomend 16 gb and will give yoir oc longevity

As it is a gamer build go Intel over Ryzen.

Here is a build. Not sure it's the correct case so change that if not. Also you need to select a monitor.

now that the guy I talked too that is helping me build I don't think I'm going to do overclocking what chip/motherboard would you recommended on this same build? If I don't go with an overclocking chip will I save money?

I already have a monitor, everything else looks great.

So he's either gonna have to buy 8gb now or later he's building a higher end system there's no reason not to have 16gb period

Yes the games can run at 8 GB but I'm sure the game developers knows more about how much RAM their games can use than you do.
