Monitor turns black and GPU fans go nuts

I recently put together this PC (I'm new to this stuff) and I've apparently hit a roadblock.
If I start a game, for example, Dark Souls 3 (the only game causing this so far), the monitors go black (and I think the PC turns off too, requiring a reboot) and the fans on GPU go absolutely NUTS.

Here's my build:
ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB DUAL OC
Intel Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake Processor
Crucial Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 16GB
Corsair CS 650M, 650W PSU
ASUS Strix b250F Gaming, Socket-1151

I've tried to find something on the net but nothing has helped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Ahh well that's a good sign and likely something you gotta talk to game manufacturer about. It probably is some sort of game optimization or compatibility issue.

I reinstalled all drivers and since this is a new PC build and I've barely got anything installed apart from Dark Souls 3 and World of Warcraft, I just picked Dark Souls due to it being the one and only game that actually requires the pc to work a bit. I'll contact Bandai Namco and check if they have anything on the subject, as I have yet to test any other big game.

I'll see what I can install in just a couple of minutes and report back.
But I thought I'd mention this as well before I crash. WoW is running on ultra and the GPU fans haven't gone into hyperdrive or turned my PC off so far while playing it.
