Gold doesnt mean its always good in terms of efficiency. Check out the other units I have listed in my above post. They might not be Gold, but atleast they wont smoke your pc.

Just get the seasonic ssr-550fx gold rated. it sells for 79 on amazon and currently u can get 10 bucks rebate. it is fully modular and is from a reputable psu 'specialised' brand. it also has a long warranty period. just go o johnnyguru.ccom for detailed power supply reviews
