Is a gt 1030 low profile 2gb better than a firepro v5800 1 gb. im getting a pc in a few weeks with my bday money and i just wanted to know what card is better
The FirePro is not a gaming GPU, cross that off your list immediately.
What are you hoping to use your PC for?
What is your budget for a graphics card?
What is your country?
I want it to play some games on it. i would like to only spend about 60-70 dollars (i know thats cheap). i was just reading some things on the internet and it looks like the dell optiplex 780 mini tower (which is what im getting) doesnt have the right slots for the gt 1030 low profile on newegg it says "PCI Express 3.0 x4" and i dont know if a dell optiplex 780 has that or not. (Sorry for the stupidity i dont know very much about this)
The 1030 is a good match for a pre-built computer like a Dell. The one possible issue would be motherboard bios related. The new Nvidia cards can sometimes be choosy about needing a UEFI bios. That card itself demands very little power, so you should have no problems from that side of things.

What is UEFI bios would the gt 1030 lp not work with normal bios?
