500w would be enough yes, BUT not that crap PSU you have selected. Get a good one from tier 1 on this list

what in the initial price list made you think he needed or had the budget for the very best available? the 1000 dollar processor? the 128GB of RAM?
You are assuming the man has the extra monies for the G2 or the RMx. a budget build will be perfectly served with either PSU I suggested and it will save money on the original pricelist.

Who says that OP don't wanna spend the extra bucks for a high quality PSU, even for his not so expensive system. I would do that, the PSU is the most important part in your system, so unless on a very tight budget there is no reason to save $30 bucks on the PSU.
