I have an Asus P5E-VM HDMI that I want to put an E5450 on. At first installation, the motherboard recognized the E5450. As per the Delidded guide, I shut down and reset BIOS by pulling out the CMOS battery for 10 seconds. Upon boot the motherboard greeted me with a message that the processor is not recognized. Windows now says I'm running an E2160 (what I had in the motherboard before), and HWMonitor shows only two cores.
The BIOS is the latest version, and the E5450 is listed as compatible with the P5E-VM HDMI on the Delidded website. What should I do?
