Hey, so i need to buy something to upgrade my pc to play FIFA 18 and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege , but the problem is at fifa 18 my pc is really slow and i can't play the game i don't know why.

I already played Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege before at medium-high settings and i had between 70-100fps but it was a bit slow.

I don't know if i should buy more ram since 4GB of ram nowdays it's nothing to games like this, or if i should buy a new graphic card considering that this one has 3 years now.

■ Pc Specs:

MOTHERBOARD: MSI H110M-PRO-D

PROCESSOR: Intel® Core™ i3-6100 Processor (3M Cache, 3.70 GHz)

GRAPHIC CARD: ASUS Radeon R9 270X

RAM: HyperX Fury Noir 4 GB DDR4 2666 MHz CL15

HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 1TB ( ST1000DM010 )

POWER SUPPLY: Kolink Core 80+ 500W ( KL-C500 )

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (build 15063), 64-bit

If you need any other info about my pc just ask me

Start by looking at the system requirements for FIFA 18 and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege.

If your system only meets those specifications any degradation due to other software running on your system is likely to pull your system down.

For the most part additional RAM is a good investment.

But do look at the other requirements as well.

Boost the lowest one (i.e. a new graphics card, additional RAM) that provides the greatest possible improvement towards the required specifications.

I would try more RAM first and then the GPU. However if RAM is much more expensive (as it can be) then the GPU may become a fall back option.

Just bear in mind that the motherboard may not fully support the necessary GPU.

Performance is only that of the slowest component involved.

The RAM is definitely the weak spot at this point. Next would be the GPU, but I'd start with doubling the RAM to 8gb first as the GPU market is a bit insane right now. You can at the very least, try to ride out the price spikes and hope that when it comes time to upgrade the GPU, things will have settled down...at least a bit.

You can run any GPU on the market without issue on that motherboard, just make sure your PSU has the necessary connections and it will fit into the case. (I can't find any reviews of that PSU, so I'm a bit skeptical of the build quality, maybe consider replacing it should you decide to upgrade the GPU)

I would double your RAM first. That will only offer a slight performance boost but it will help. It's best to buy an 8 or 16GB RAM kit. Adding identical RAM will usually work but sometimes it won't.

Next up is that dual core. I can't offer anything specific to your needs because I don't know your budget. That aside I would opt for the 7600 i5. You will notice a bigger improvement with that.

Then we have your 270. I would upgrade that to a 1060 3GB if you only do 1080p gaming. That will offer a significant performance boost.

So shouldn't you just get a 1060 because that will offer the biggest improvement? No. The GFX card alone won't offer a significant boost because the 6100 is the limiting factor. The 6100 alone won't help because you have too little RAM. It's all about finding a balance. I did some research and that power supply will handle a 1060 and your other upgrades without issue.

Finally there is your hard drive. Do you have an SSD? Someday if you have the rest of your PC where you want it a 256GB(Samsung Evo 256GB?) will shorten lgameoad times and quicken Windows in additional to other benefits.

Thank you all for the answers and the research you have done, i'm very gratefull to you all.

And yeah i will start by buying an additional RAM stick, for now my budget is really low so i won't upgrade my pc, but i'll think about it thank you.

Just one more question, you said it's best to buy a 8GB or 16GB RAM kit so you're saying to buy one 8GB RAM stick instead of buying a 2nd one of 4GB , am i right?

Buy an 8gb ram stick and 1050ti/1060, depending on your budget.

What do you have now? 1 RAM module? Add one more. 2 RAM modules? Add 2 more. Your motherboard is designed to work with dual channel RAM. Dual channel RAM is meant to work in pairs. The speed(266MHz) shown is an effective speed of two modules working in tandem.

It might work with the other module or it might not. I know I'm repeating myself but what you're planning on doing isn't guaranteed to work. RAM are sold in kits for exactly that reason. They have been tested together to ensure compatibility.
