Right, I'm having an issue concerning my mother board and the prongs located on the I/O shields interior side. There are two prongs covering the interior of HDMI entrance, and the same thing is happening to the port above that. Can anybody tell me if it's normal and that's just there for a reason or something before I go and try to fix it to my liking.

i think you are referring to the prongs that help space the i/o shield from the ports. they are not supposed to block any ports. you would need to either pull the mobo out and bend them out of the way. cutting them off is an option too but i dont like to do it. wont hurt anything if u do.

Right, thanks mate. I did what you suggested and it worked. While it was a bit of a struggle to get the motherboard ports to fit back in their slots against the I/O shield, it was worth it because those two claws are gone and I can now put my cords in.
