blue lines across screen

Today I was using my computer as normal and I launched a game. After it launched, it crashed immediately and in the bottom right corner of my screen it said something like "Graphics driver stopped responding but has recovered". I then relaunched the game, thinking nothing of it and a faint pattern of greenish squares appeared on part of my screen, and it crashed again and gave me the same message.

I checked for driver updates and I apparently had the latest ones, I checked the GPU temp with Speccy and it was 47C, which I assume isn't that bad.

I restarted it and it was working fine, but then when i launched the game again, the same thing happened but this time the whole computer froze and i had to restart it. I got back in, and I had this blue pattern across my screen, but only on darker areas. I could still see lighter coloured things just fine, but it looked like the refresh rate was reduced and there was no nvidia control panel when i right clicked my desktop.

I restarted it again and the blue lines do not appear until the wavy windows logo before login appears. It also just froze once or twice once it reached the windows logo and i had to power off and restart.

I also noticed that in the screen that lists my raid arrays (pre boot) some of the numbers were replaced with weird symbols (although there was no other screen distorting pre-logo)

When i start the PC in safe mode no blue lines or anything appear but the refresh rate still seems worse.

I should also mention that I can no longer check the temp of the gpu with speccy, as it just doesnt show up there anymore.

Sorry for messy typing, any help is appreciated.

Solution

I was going to ask for a photo of those lines/greenish squares, but this one definitely means your gpu dead/broken.
Replace it.
