my computer has started to randomly shut itself off.

it started to happen when playing games my pc could typically handle like overwatch but now the pc just crashes on itself when i launch the games. after shutting down it wont turn on for a few minutes. i think its an issue with the psu but i wanted to ask for your opinions. i believe the pc crashes under stress.

im running an amd 6300 with a geforce 980 gpu on a 450psu. the recommended psu is at least 500w for the 980. ive been running this rig like this for about 4 years rarely turning it off. i cleaned it regularly and replaced the thermal paste. i monitored the heat and it does not overheat when it crashes.

i really think i need to replace the psu but if there any opinions please let me know. i had a few other errors such as problems booting with reading the disk and having the incorrect boot up order but i have fixed those issues for now.

would really appreciate the help! Thanks!

do you think that the low quality psu could be losing performance and be causing the pc the crash? i monitored the temperature and i know thats not the issue.

Don't know which Tier list you have used but that PSU is a Tier 5 on this list https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/631048-psu-tier-list-updated/
Get a Tier 1 if you can afford and at least a Tier 3 for both your own and your systems safety if you are on a tight budget.
