Hey all. Im looking for a new pc parts, and then my friend just told me that AMD CPU's (Special RYZEN) get a lot warmer and they tend to die faster than intel. is that somehow real?
Thanks

Ryzen hasn't even been out there long enough to make a claim like that. So i'd say that's he's just too biased towards Intel.

With that said, olders FX chips do tended to be hotter then Intel's, but with a decent cooler they still had a shorter lifespan? Nah, never heard of it.

Current Ryzen CPUs are great, nobody would buy something if was going to brake sooner or later wouldn't they? CPUs are very very sturdy, you will probably want a whole new upgrade before it even thinking about getting damaged whatsoever.

if anything the current ryzen chips run cooler than intel. Intel used standard thermal paste under the heatspreader in the CPU, AMD used solder which transfers heat away from the die better. it has gotten so bad that intel chips are being taken apart in order to replace the thermal paste. I have not heard of the need to de-lid a ryzen chip. you can but the need is not there like the intel chips.
