hey,

i always used laptops, but this summer my laptop got stolen, and im thinking about actually building a pc this time. I have never build one before so i am very unexperienced. Since i had the idea i watched some youtube videos but well, that doesnt make you a pro.
So i did some research and came up with this, in germany all new for around 600€, parts list.

  • SanDisk SSD PLUS 120GB Sata III 2,5 Zoll Interne SSD, bis zu 530 MB/Sek
be quiet! BN241 System Power 8 80+ PC ATX Netzteil 500W schwarz
    Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC Grafikkarte (4 GB, GDDR5, 128 Bit, 16 x PCI-EXP) schwarz
be quiet! BK009 Pure Rock CPU cooler
    ARCTIC F12 - 120mm fan,
    Gskill F4-2400C15D-8GNT Memory D4 2400 8GB C15 NT K2 2x 4GB, 1,2V
    MSI B350M PRO-VDH, Sockel AM4, DDR4, MATX Mainboard
    AMD Ryzen 3 1200 3.1GHz
    Sharkoon MA-M1000 PC-Gehäuse mATX

sorry for the german words in it, but i think its clear which parts are meant.
This would, as i mentioned earlier, total to around 600€.
I would add hdd´s later on, as i would add another 8gb ram kit getting me to 16 total, once i have the money.
Besides that i would love to overclock the cpu and gpu (first time i can do that finally), which is why i decided on the ryzen 3 1200, since its very overclockable. In addition to that the aftermarket cpu cooler and oc capable motherboard.
Since i like to game on 1080p the 1050ti should be perfect.

One more question. Is it better to take an atx case? I would like to keep it somewhat compact, but will that influence the air flow? Would the system stay cooler in an atx than this matx case?

but all of that are just ideas of a complete noob, and any help i can get from you is most appreciated.

thanks!

Linus

Thanks for all your help! I will definitely get a psu with a better rating, and probably get a better processor as well.

But i decided to wait for prices to come down first. I am not really in a hurry and in half a year gpus should be cheaper. And i will be able to pick up a second hand cpu.
