So I just bought a SSD on eBay. I already have a 1tb HDD in my laptop. So to fit the SSD, I wanted to remove the optical drive and add a caddy for the hard drive. But what caddy do I want? It is an HP Notebook 15-AY163NR. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

the caddies are largely the same. you will need to know the height of the unit being replaced and get a tray with the same height.
that is really the only requirement I know of. mobile optical drives have been standard for a while.
12mm, 9mm, or 7mm? that is the question.

I suggest moving the HDD into the HDD caddy, the interface may be slower and might starve the SSD bandwidth wise. put the SSD where the HDD was and the HDD in the optical bay.
