At default, the motherboard says my ram is 2133mhz, I change the XMP to the advertised 3200mhz on the Gskill Trident Z ram, I got a 2x8gb kit. I have my latest bios, but my computer wont boot past the bios, it would bios loop until I change it to a lower value. 3099mhz works but nothing higher. I have a Ryzen 7 1800x

Solution
generally it depends on more factors that just what the MoBo and ram say, it's always a bit of luck like OC;ing a CPU, you'll have to find a max OC on the ram yourself. it could be bottlenecked by PSU, and your MoBO may not support it either
