I am Thinking of Running 2 GTX 970 G1s in SLI But I Dont Know What Motherboard To Run (Needs to be a 1150 Socket and DDR3 Ram)

I am currently running:
Intel i7-4770
Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Edition
750 Watt PSU (I know it will be pushing it to run SLI)
DDR3 Ram 1x8GB, 1x16GB
Motherboard Gigabyte Z87-HD3 (To be replaced)

So my situation is that my friend just upgraded his GPU and now has a spare GTX 970 G1 he is willing to sell me at mates rates.(cause I don't have the money to buy a new big single card)
The problem is though everywhere I have read it says my motherboard wont cut it cause its only got one x16 PCIe slot and the other one is only x4.
I don't really know a lot about motherboards though so I was wondering if anyone knows any good ones out there which would hopefully fit with the rest of my stuff. I know 1150 sockets and DDR3 ram are old, but atm they are doing fine speed wise its just my GPU that is bottlenecking hence the wanting to upgrade.

Why I am wanting to go sli is that I don't really have the money to go one big card and so was hoping I could get a cheaper motherboard that will still handle everything fine and wont cause me to have to buy extra things like a new cpu and ram

Solution
Sell your current GPU and apply that money towards a GTX 1070. About the performance of two GTX 970s in SLI without the irritations and incompatibilities. No motherboard swapping to deal with either (that would be expensive and a big hassle).
