So i have rebuilt my PC probably about 5 times, but this time I am having issues with the fans turning on. I am using a corsair 780T case with front fan controller. the fans work fine when I plug them straight into my motherboard (MSI Z170A titanium) but i can only run about 3 off of it. When I plug in the 2 pin molex power into my PSU it seems to not give power to the fan controller and fans just don't turn on. I dont know if I plugged something in wrong or what, any info or help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Solution
Try connecting the fan controller's molex connector to another molex connector on your PSU. It may not help but it's worth to try. Also, press the fan controller button few times once everything is hooked and powered up. Oh, also try with a different fan and look if it helps.

If after all that there's still no life in your fans then it's likely that the fan controller is damaged. In this case, contact Corsair customer support, provide invoice of your 780T case purchase and ask them to ship new front I/O panel to you. Afterwards replace the defective component out.
If you have black case then you'll need front I/O panel with part number of CC-8930282,

I had the same issue when I got my case and I thought it was defective. I ended up detaching the front I/O Panel and it turns out that the connection was loose for the fan controller. I just made the connection a little more snug and secure and the fans worked as soon as I powered it on.

Also, the Molex connector isn't used to power any of the fans. The Molex connector is to power the red LED accents on the case.
