i am going to buy a gtx1050 which has DVI port but my monitor has a VGA connection. so i will need a adapter but the problem is that alot of people say even my brother said that if we use this adapter then graphics card performance will not be that good and will get low quality performance? I am confused

Solution
I wouldn't use an adapter.

If you intend to/have to use DVI output then you should really buy a monitor which has DVI input so you've got full, unhindered compatibility between the two with no adapters compromising the abilities of your GPU..
you wont get low performance out of the graphics card you will lose quality of video. DVI, hdmi, and Display port are all digital signals, VGA is analog so going from a digital to analog you will lose some quality in video. You will not on the other hand lose FPS because of this.
