Help me decide between an RX Vega 56 and a 64

Greetings community,

So, whenever price and availability come around (there’s no way I’m paying $600 for RX Vega 56) I’m going to be considering a 56 or a 64 to replace my beloved MSI R9 390. I am only choosing between these as I’ve invested in an awesome 4k monitor with Freesync so I’ve made my bed with AMD.

My worries – other than price – are:

• I’m a bit concerned that my 600w PU might be pushing the upper limits of power consumption with the 64. I mean, my current 390 sucks a lot of juice to be sure, and it looks like the TDP is only 20 more watts (275 vs. 295). But I’ve got an (aged but adequate) overclocked FX 8370 taking it’s share, too. Should I be concerned about my PU?

• Performance – I’ll be playing at 2k or 4k depending on the title (I play everything at 2k or 4k now, too, but with mixed results). Is the 64 going to give me that edge over the 56 in the short and long run? I plan to have this card for three years.

Thanks!
