Hello, I know a lot of people have ask this question, but I was looking for an answer for my hardware. I am new to overclocking and was wondering if I could get my cpu to at least 3.5. I have done the auto oc on v6 and v8 engines. On v6 it was stable at 3.3, but on v8 I was at 3.45 and getting wierd bsod errors. Nothing about overheating thoogh. Figured it was because I used auto. My temps where staying at around 41 deg at 3.3ghz v6 auto oc. Any help would be appreciated.

Motherboard...biostar ta790gx a2+
Cpu...phenom ii x4 945 deneb
Cooler...deep cool gammaxx 400
Ram...4x2gb g skill ddr2
Gpu...gigabyte radeon rx460 4gb oc
Psu...evga 500w

Thank you.

Solution
DRAM Frequency and NB Frequency is overclocked if you set to 234, so make sure they are reduced to what they can support.

It is probably best to take a look at motherboard user's guide to be familiar with all the options in BIOS.

Ok...will try that, if I have to raise my voltage what is the highest I should bump it to. And the wierd thing about bios is the version it says it has, is a 2013 update, and the newest update on mobo page is 2010. I might be missing understanding that idk...will look into it.

honestly, i set it back to normal until i can find out more about the other ratios. like i said new at this lol...do you have a link to a guide that can assist me with this. i backed it down to 227 and slowly upped the voltage until it ran smoother, i ran bf1 and got a memory management bsod.
