What should I upgrade first without bottlenecking, my cpu(+motherboard) or graphics card?

Hey there!

I have an Intel i5 2500 CPU socket 1155, so sandy bridge
And a Nvidia geforce 750 Ti GPU.

I would like to play newer games, but what should I upgrade first to get the best results?
I don't have a lot of money so I can only upgrade one.

Assuming you have a PCIe slot, you might consider something like a GTX1050ti GPU. Not too expensive but a decent video card and doesn't draw a lot of power. Most brands of that card don't even need external power connectors.
