Samsung RC730 compatible with SATA3 SSD?

I have no idea with this kind of stuff and I want to buy an SSD for my Samsung Laptop RC730 SO9.
The SSD has SATA3 and has the same scale as my hdd (currently in the laptop). And I was just wondering if SATA3 is compatible with my laptop.

As long as the SSD is the same dimensions height wise to your HDD, it'll drop in no problems. If you're able to pop out the HDD and share with us the model number for it and we can state if it's SATA 2 or SATA 3 spec. Is this the unit we're dealing with? If so then the SATA port will be revision 3 as per this supporting article(Intel HM65 chipset).

The reason why I wanna get a ssd or a sshd is because my 6 years old hdd is suddenly extremely slow and one time when windows start up was running a sudden bluescreen came and then it turned off. Ever since the hdd is so slow, the windows start up takes around 5 mins and logging in around 15 mins. And for whatever reason everything is so big and then I always have to higher the resolution. It just happened so sudden. Well I did add a 4 GB ram stick but it is the same model as the old one! 2×4GB 1333mhz = 8Gb ram
Could the new ram stick be the reason? Or the hyperX cloud 2 firmware I installed before it went totally kaput.
I'm really worried that if I try backing all my files up to the new ssd or sshd, that the old hdd dies while backing the files up
