Would this be a good budget gaming PC? I am not planning on upgrading in the future(except RAM) and this PC seemed like a decent deal. The performance also doesn't have to be perfect. If it is a bad deal, could you find one for a similar price that is better?

Thanks!

Solution
it is a bad deal, the platform is at the end of life (while the performance/power is so saddening)

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xD3YsJ
other people might improve this list by change the parts to the cheapest one possible (usually mobo), well they can do that, this list of mine is just out of my preference :D
i put the 550w instead so u can later on upgrade ur rig without concerning bout wattage :)
sorry, no ssd
it exceed ur budget a bit, but:
1. OS, same as the prebuild u mentioned
2. 3 TB HDD
3. the CPU is 4c/8t (like an i7)
4. PSU is decent
5. since u mentioned RAM, the mobo had 4 slot, so upgradability is there :)
in case u can't exceed the budget at all cost, here's the old one:

Edit: some improvement and adding an OS too, sorry but it might exceed ur budget a bit :(

Thanks for your help
But if I were to get the Skytech Archangel how long do you think I could use the AM3+ before it's not good at all for gaming, since I'm not really planning on upgrading?

A year or two at most. They struggle right NOW. Don't buy a FX platform when a Pentium will out FPS it.

There are excellent Ryzen 3/5 options out there, as well as the Pentium G4560 and upcoming 4C i3 and 6C i5 lineup from Intel.

well, as long as u want / till it died really, that's the beauty of PC gaming, u don't have to upgrade if u don't want too :)

do u know why i said that it's not good? that CPU of urs, with it's 6c/6t, perform worse than my i5 2400, which is a 4c/4t
http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-2400-vs-AMD-FX-6100/803vs1984
and it consumes the same amount of power...

now imagine how do i face God later on if he knows that i just told a lie bout how that PC is good (other than the RAM speed) when the price is wayy above my better-performing-PC (if i count the whole price of mine, probably sitting on 400-500$, it's an old upgraded PC really)

JK bout the God part XD

performance-wise, games like the division (games with big map) already required our CPU (both FX-6100 and i5 2400) as the min. requirement, so soon enough, that CPU will be not sufficient for playing the new gen games...(especially CPU Intensive games such as GTAV, PUBG, The Division, etc)

thought if u're only into e-sport title, it'll be more than enough XD

with numbers: i'll say 1-3 years at very most :(

which i already suggested, but he just asked bout the longetivity of the FX if he were to buy it

Thanks again, I have one more thing.

I probably should have mentioned this earlier but, I am planning on upgrading from this crap PC https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883113203 (I upgraded RAM to 16GB)

So I'm not real picky about what the new PC has, plus it's hard for me to save a lot of money for something above the Skytech Archangel. Should I really wait or just go with the Skytech Archangel?

dude, why didn't u mentioned this earlier?
ur CPU is WAY BETTER THAN the FX-6100 (and better than mine too)
vs FX:
http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-3450-vs-AMD-FX-6100/m161vs1984
vs mine:
http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-3450-vs-Intel-Core-i5-2400/m161vs803

if i were u, here's what i do:
slam in a 1050ti / 1060 3 GB (if the price is good enough, 6GB) [do keep in mind about case size]
change the PSU into something reliable [if don't want to change the PSU, 1050ti would be the only viable option (some variant might still require a 6-pin connector, i suggest u avoid them, since that means they can pull more wattage), and the risk is higher coz OEM PSU are pretty much uncharted territory]
tier list:
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html
https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/631048-psu-tier-list-updated/
something from a tier 1 / 2 / 3 at very most are all good parts :)

total cost probably hover around 200-350$ for this upgrade, and u already got a much more decent PC than the Skytech
ur welcome

PS: regards for ye o fellow budget gamer (trust me, i know the hardship of saving up for upgrades, i skip lunch everyday in college in order to save up for this XD)

Thanks,
I already tried putting in a 950-Ti and it wouldn't work with my computer(I could never figure out why). Also Windows 10 is starting to not work right on my PC(I also can't figure this out either) I tried reinstalling Windows 10 but it corrupted my Windows 10 save and didn't reset so I had to go and make a bootable drive to reinstall Windows, and when it did finally reinstall it was still not working. So I kinda need a new PC because this well over 5 years old and is probably near the end of its life cycle.

first, there's not 950 ti, it's either 750ti / 1050ti
if it didn't work. i had the same experience, and here's what i did:
if ur monitor is so old that it only supports analog data, get an active converter
if u're stuck at a logo screen, just use the on board graphic, boot on, then update your BIOS (from the mobo's brand website) to the latest one available

second, my G850 lasted for 6 years so don't u dare to say it's nearing the end of life till it really died

third, it's possible however that it's ur HDD that is nearing it's end of life / corrupted, doesn't mean the entire PC is at fault

fourth, u kinda need an upgrade, well, what u're planning to buy isn't an upgrade at all... it's a downgrade to be exact (i5 to FX-6100, 16 GB to 8 GB, the GPU can be just plugged to ur old PC instead of buying a whole new one)
u better off with buying an old i7 K edition (either 2nd,3rd, or 4th gen) + Z mobo + decent cooler + PSU + 1050ti (for now), slam them all into your case and it can handle up to 1080 just fine :D (upgradability)
if u don't think u'll ever upgrade again:
old i5 + H mobo + PSU + 1050ti

Sorry I meant Gtx 950, I accidentally added Ti because I was thinking about the 1050 Ti. Also it's not my monitor because I just not a new Samsung 1080p Monitor this last Christmas. I tried the on board graphics thing and it didn't work either.

Also it's a FX-6300 not a FX-6100 and I was planning on adding an additional 8GB of ram the the Skytech Archangel

dude, if u want to scrap up some money, u can try to sell ur old parts (like RAM for example)

i honestly don't like prebuild PCs, they're all shady on some components people tend to overlook like PSU (except on custom build, i can at least still let it go, since it's like build ur own)...
by specs, they do look good and tempting (especially since the RX are pretty volatile in terms of price these days), but if that PSU is such a cheapskate, when it died, u might have to say bye bye to your whole PC too

lemme try to make build for your budget:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/J8Hm9W
the PSU is known
the RAM speed is also lowered as the target fps is only 60 and to cut more cost too
the HDD is 1 TB to cut more cost (from the previous 3 TB)
GPU is only 1050ti same as my previous build
the mobo had 4 slot of RAM so u can add another 2x4 later (there's always a chance that it won't work though, but it's a chance nonetheless)
but CPU is definitely better and OCable too
