How to use Ethernet for house pre-wired with cat5e

So basically. I moved into a new house and I see a cat5e port in all the bedrooms and really want to use it. But I don't know how to connect it all up. Can someone please explain to me and also use very simple terminology since I'm not really that tech savvy.
Some (maybe) useful info:
1) cat5e ports in every bedroom (so there's like 4 or 5 in total)
2) my router (wifi modem thingy) uses cable and is located in my lounge room (also next to a cat5e port)
3) in my laundry. There are like a bunch of blue Ethernet wires with nothing connected to them (4-5) in total so I guess that's the other end of the cat5e ports.
If any extra info is needed please let me know

So we will assume your router works fine and somehow has a internet wire connected to it.

All you likely need to do is buy a small 8 port switch and plave it in the laundry room and hook all the cables to it. You then plug your router into the jack near it which connects it to the switch and the switch allows all the other ports to talk to the router and get internet access.

More than likely the blue ones in the laundry room are the ends for the ports and they would need to be plugged into a router or switch, that was then connected to your cable modem.

Now if there is one in the lounge room, than you could use that one to go to the laundry room, put a switch there, and then be all good.

Yeah all cables lead to a central point looking like its the laundry. As mentioned, indentifying the lounge port in the laundry and connect a switch and the rest of the ports in the laundry with short cables giving access to each of the rooms that are wired from the laundry.
