Hello as the title says, my current card in my system is a Gigabyte R9 380 2GB that runs most of my games on ultra high settings except for two which are med-high settings at 720p. I got bored today so I went on Craigslist and I found a used Asus R9 290x 4GB for sale for $200. If I do end up getting the R9 290x I will definitely buy a 1080p monitor (which I am planning on doing anyways) to go with it.

My question is, does this sound like a good idea replacing my R9 380 for the R9 290x? And how about that price, does that seem fair to you?

Here is my current build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9J8hCJ

*I did double check, and my PSU will be able to support the R9 290x power requirements. I have about 20W left according to pcpartpicker*

R9 290X is still a good card. It is an upgrade from your R9 380. $200 is a good price given the current market. Sounds good to me.

Your power supply is at the minimum, but it is a good unit. Should be okay.
